2.15 p.m. - Keynote: Multimodal Language Models, Emmanuel Orsini

After 4 years as a software engineer at Google, Emmanuel Orsini moved to a Deepmind research team to work on various topics, such as reinforcement learning for video games and exploration. Since 2022, he has worked on audio processing and generation that leverages the progress that has been done on large text language models. Last April, he moved to Kyutai, an open science and non profit research lab, which invented moshi, the first real time voice AI ever released.

3 p.m. - Keynote: When algorithms go awry: risks, identification, repair, Benoit Rottembourg

Benoit Rottembourg leads the Regalia project at Inria, the French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology. The aim of Regalia is to provide to the regulation authorities and auditors a software framework for auditing algorithmic compliance w.r.t. unfairness, disloyalty or anticompetitive practices. Benoit joined Inria after 20 years of analytics software development in the industry, particularly in the data-intensive field of dynamic pricing. From 1998 to 2005, he led the Data Science team of Bouygues, the French conglomerate, and from 2017 to 2020 he was head of customer and pricing Data Science at Maersk, the Danish maritime company. Benoit co-founded several technological start-ups in the energy and the retail sector.
